as she sat down to relax a portal opened, it smelled like hell and brandon blasted it with energy to disrupt it and it sealed. he still wasn't going near melli but he was still guarding her.

She looked around before gently turning to head to the Library to study.

as everything settled brandon was outside the window he looked in watching her face. over time everythng went black for her except a light that she stood on.

out of the blackness another light appread in it was brandon. "hello Mellina its good to finally meet you. i know i look like brandon but i assure you i am not him. merely a representation of his powers that sleep within you. i think it is time for us to talk. you cannot escape. we are alone in your mind and with him guarding you there will be no interruptions."

She said nothing but sighed, reading still. "What is it?"

"why havn't you begun to tap into his power?" it said as the book vanished to give it her undivided attention.

"What do you mean?"she hissed.

"I mean you havn't even begun to unleash your abilities inside you lies enough power to create a planet or destroy a galaxy. to control the atoms or move the stars." it said returning her hiss with cold words that froze her spine. not literally. "you have only used half of your samia abilities and none of the abilities brandon gifted you with."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"becuase a great battle looms and only you and brandon together at full power using both families ability can begin to have a chance at victory." she heard brandons voice seem to echo loudly. "oh wow she is beautiful, i have a few years of free time i think, i want them to be with her." the image settled down speaking more gently. "that was his first thought when he saw you. in order to understand his powers i think you should know what he has been thinking since you met him,"

"I already know..but I'm still angry with him."she said.

"why are you angry at him?"

"I just am....nothing more."

"they are coming... i have to go... but.. i didn't expect to fall in love with her." brandon's voice echoes again. "this is when he first left. shortly after you told him he was special to you. he left to go to a war and told you it was a gainst catterpllars. it was a gainst the setians."

"during the battle he was wounded the catterpillars used their acidic string to hold him as the setians torture him. remember? he came back burned and barely alive." brandons voice echoes again this time clearer. Can't... leave her behind. I have to see her again. I... i will see e=her again. "you were his inspiration to live and fight the vampire's greatest enemy. i want to give her my powers. but she wont drink my blood. does she hate it? "shortly after this you finally drank his blood for the first time. he was so happy he wanted to give you more. so much that you would become more powerful than anything."

She still said nothing.

they are coming "the next week" they are coming. "the next month" they are coming. "and so it has been for many months now melli. he has been thinking the same thing they are coming. the setians and i am here to make sure you have the power to fight them and win."

"then why do you refuse the powers that sleep inside you. why don't you unleash your abilities." it asked.

She looked away not responding.

it waited, time had no meaning here, forever seemed to pass for her, years, an eternity and still it waited.
